Most CRMs open on a list. Rows and columns and a search bar, and a rep who has to decide what matters before they can do anything about it.
The Run opens on a decision. Overnight, Current ranked the whole book and put the account that moved at the top. The Run is that ranking, made into a place a rep works.
First thing, every morning: not "what's in here," but "what do I do first." The Run already answered.
A task list says what. A prepared moment brings the how with it.
Each item in The Run is a piece of work with the setup already done: the account, the reason it's near the top today, the history a rep would otherwise go dig for, and — where there's something to send — a draft already written. Meeting prep. Reply drafts. Deal moves. Hand-offs.
A rep works the top of the queue and trusts that the top of the queue is the right place to be. That trust is the product. It's why the ranking has to be honest, and why Current shows its reasoning instead of hiding it.

Calm Run · the default
Calm Run is the default. A quiet, dense, focused cockpit — the surface a rep who wants to close deals and go home actually wants. No confetti. No leaderboard in your face. The work, ranked, and nothing else. This is what opens when you sign in, for everyone, until someone chooses otherwise.
Command Center · opt-in
Command Center is the opt-in. Turn it on and the same queue gains a game layer: XP for the work you were doing anyway, levels, quests, streaks, a leaderboard for the floors that run on competition. It is off until a rep turns it on, and a rep can turn it off again on a bad day.
Two skins. One set of numbers underneath. Nobody is forced into the arcade, and nobody who wants the arcade is denied it.
Sales gamification usually arrives as a separate app bolted onto the CRM. It keeps its own score. And its score drifts from the CRM's — the leaderboard says one thing, the pipeline says another, and within a month nobody trusts either.
The Run's game layer reads the same live rows the pipeline reads. There is no second scoreboard to drift. Every point of XP maps to a real thing a rep actually did — a call logged, a deal advanced, a follow-up that a customer answered. Nothing is a vanity multiplier. Nothing is points for logging in.
That's a design rule with a name: honest gamification. If a number on the leaderboard can't be traced to earned value in the pipeline, it doesn't go on the leaderboard. A rep can trust the score because the score is the work. A manager can trust the forecast because the game didn't inflate it.
The score is the work. Nothing on the board is a number you didn't earn.

The Run doesn't work alone. Current fills it overnight — the ranking a rep opens to is Current's work, composed into a queue. Coach Queue is the manager's view of how the running is going: stalled deals, missed follow-ups, reps who need a hand, all with the rep seeing exactly what the manager sees.

No. The default is Calm Run — a quiet, focused cockpit with no game layer at all. Command Center, the version with XP and streaks and a leaderboard, is opt-in and off until a rep turns it on. Some floors run better with it. Some never touch it. Both show the same work.
No, by design. The game layer reads the same live pipeline rows everything else reads — there's no separate scoreboard to drift out of sync. Every point maps to a real action a rep took. If a number can't be traced to earned value, it isn't shown. The point of the rule is that the manager's forecast stays honest even with the game turned on.
